Daryl R. Cook, P.E. - President

Daryl has been with Watts & Browning Engineers, Inc. since 1986. Daryl oversees land planning and client development. Specializing in commercial, single-family and multi-family residential design, his 35 plus years of design experience and problem-solving ability make Daryl an asset to the W&B team. Daryl continues to be hands on by working with project feasibility studies, land plans and the initial design of engineering projects as well as responsible charge and overview of engineering design staff. Daryl has worked continuously through his career on Development Advisory Committees for Fulton County, DeKalb County, Cobb County, The City of Atlanta, The City of Chamblee, The Atlanta Homebuilders Association, and the Counsel for Quality Growth. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina and is a certified GSWCC Level II Certified Design Professional. Daryl is also a member of National Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers as well as LEED AP certified.

Virgil T. Hammond, R.L.S. - Vice President/Chief Surveyor

Virgil started with Watts & Browning Engineers, Inc. in 1980 as a Survey Instrument man. In 1986, Virgil moved into the office as a designer and in 1992 became Chief Surveyor for the firm. Virgil became a partner in the firm in 1998. With over four decades of experience with land surveys and construction surveys Virgil brings valuable expertise to any project. Virgil is responsible for the supervision and coordination of five survey crews and overseeing the office personnel working on survey projects. His experience includes ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Georgia Standard Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Tree Surveys, Right-of-Way Surveys, Utility Surveys, Subdivision and Condominium Platting. Properties include suburban and rural properties for private landowners, developers, engineers and state agencies. Virgil is also experienced in construction surveys for roadways, multi-family and single-family residential developments and commercial properties. A 1986 graduate of the Southern College of Technology ( now the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering at Kennesaw State University ) he holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a member of the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia, the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the South Land Title Association. He has been a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Georgia since 1992.
